Frank and Casey are two Texans who planned the perfect celebration with their family and friends at The Summerall Chapel at The Citadel and The Planters Inn here in Charleston. I first met Frank and Casey at their engagement session in White Point Gardens and was blown away by their timeless style and sweet demeanor.
The intimate wedding they planned with Bouquets and Bowties was flawless. We started the day at The Belmond at Charleston Place and the suite matched Casey’s wedding colors, gray and gold. I love how the flower girl dresses went perfectly with the wedding dress. And how amazing are the Charleston themed invitations?? Pink Dot Beauty Bar headed over to the suite for hair and make-up, and the girls looked gorgeous.
We took most of the formal photos at Hampton Park, right beside the Summerall Chapel. Frank and Casey had one of my most favorite first looks that I’ve ever been a part of! When Frank turned around, the breath was knocked right out of him. He told me later in the night that he had waited so long to find Casey, so I can’t imagine the overwhelming feelings they both felt.
Their reception was at The Planters Inn, and the food and cake from The Peninsula Grill was so delicious! Casey sent several wedding cake inspiration photos over to Chauncey at Bouquets and Bowties, and Chauncey mixed them all together to create this stunning cake! The best part was that it was made of Peninsula Grill’s famous Coconut Cake! Their family and friends sent off Casey and Frank with a sparkler exit, and that was the perfect ending!
